THE RECYCLE MARKET DEVELOPMENT ZONE (RMDZ)

Specific portions of Kings and Tulare Counties have been designated a "Recycling Market Development Zone" or RMDZ which allows businesses to obtain low interest loans, technical assistance, and permit expediting if located in this zone.

If your company manufactures with recycled materials, you have another good reason to be a Kings County business. The California Recycling Market Development Zone Program provides low-interest loans on a competitive basis to re-manufacturers for up to 50% of project costs, not to exceed $1,000,000. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The U.S. Small Business Administration established in 1953 with an office in Fresno, provides financial, technical and management assistance to help Americans start, run, and grow their businesses. With a portfolio of business loans, loan guarantees and disaster loans worth more than $45 billion, SBA is the nation's largest single financial backer of small businesses. The Federal Government offers Small Business Administration loan guarantees (up to $1,000,000) to qualified investors. They also administer revolving loan funds which can provide low-interest financing for a variety of projects. Last year, the SBA offered management and technical assistance to more than one million small business owners. The SBA also plays a major role in the government's disaster relief efforts by making low-interest recovery loans to both homeowners and businesses.
