TRANSPORTATION:
There are 300 acres under development in the city limits zoned for general industrial that are located directly adjacent to the Interstate 5 corridor. Typical sales prices range from $8,000 to $10,000 per acre. Drainage is good, subsoil is sandy loam and piling is not required. Sizes of water mains are six inches. Sewage is handled by on-site Leachfield/Septic Systems. Several parcels are available on short notice. Back to Demographic List RECREATION: Recreational facilities include one park, two playgrounds and nearby the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Pacific Ocean beaches. The City holds world class sand drags in the spring and fall of each year that attracts hundreds of cars and participants. HOUSING AVAILABILITY, PRICES AND RENTALS: Rentals for one and two bedroom apartments and duplexes range from $500 to $650 per month. Rentals for two and three bedroom houses range from $700 to $850 per month. There is one mobile home park and one hotel with 40 total rooms in the community area. There is one subdivision under construction with several tract maps being processed. Single-family housing costs now start at $150,000.
